Practice for the competition using ALL of your resources. Practice with sample questions and use your resources to answer them. Use a timer when attempting to locate information and answer questions. Modify the information as you use it to make it more efficient.
How can I improve my Science Olympiad team?
If you are on a team that is new or would like to improve its competition results, talk to the teacher in charge of Science Olympiad and suggest the team attend an invitational or host their own. Unlike other competition levels, a school can compete in multiple Invitationals during the year.
What is a good score in Science Olympiad?
The average should be about 50%, the high score in the 85-90% range and the low score in the 10-20% range. The top few scores should be spread out enough that they are not determined by tiebreakers.
Is the Science Olympiad hard?
The competition is significantly harder than most state and regional competitions. Prizes and scholarships are awarded to the top scorers in each event.

Can you use Notes in Science Olympiad?
Not all events allow you to use a binder. Events such as ornithology uses one, but events such as anatomy & physiology has requirements for it. However, when preparing, you can use as much note sheets you want, but be sure not to during the competition!
